ハッピーホリディ！

5月26日～6月17日の3週間は、スクールホリディとなります。また、IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education - 義務教育修了試験) を控えた生徒達 (Year11) にとっては、有意義な期間となるよう頑張ってください。

フェアウェル＆ボンボヤージュ、Rion!

2009年から、スリアラインターで学んできたリオン、ブラジルへ帰国する事となりました。非常に寂しくなりますが、これからも楽しく学びながら、また、大好きなサッカーも、もっともっと上達するよう頑張ってください。

両親と先生の日

ホリディ後の6月30日土曜日の9時から12時まで、両親面談があります。今回のテスト結果も含め、子供達の状況を先生達と話せるいい機会です。是非、参加してください。アートルームには、いつものようにリフレッシュメントが用意してあります。

生徒会旅行 - SRC Trip (Year6以上)

7月5～7日の2泊3日で予定されています。詳細は、ニュースレターについてきた別紙をご覧になり、参加希望者は、6月20日までに、申込み書をオフィスへ提出してください。。

UNSW / ICAS 試験 (Year3以上の希望者のみ)

英語：　7月10日火曜日
数学：　7月24日火曜日

スポーツディ

7月14日土曜日は、テレマッチディです。テレマッチ後のバーベキュは、両親も有料制で参加できます。詳細は、ニュースレターの別紙をご覧下さい。

ディズニーチャンネル・ダンス・コンペティション

去年に引き続き、Disney ChannelのMy School Rocks!2012のDance Cometitionに、小学生部門、中高生部門と、それぞれ1チームずつ参加する事となりました。日時等の詳細は、ホリディ後にわかります。

課外活動（ECAｓ）と断食月

課外活動は、ホリディ後すぐに開始されますが、断食月が始まる前の7月19日から8月末まで、一時休止となります。テコンドを含め、コンサートの練習、授業、試験準備等は、通常通り行われます。

スリアラ・フード＆ファンフェア

今年も、4月のファンドレイジング・バザーは、大成功を収め、合計RM8,013.20となりました。この資金がどのように運用されるかは、ホリディの後に報告されます。

多大のご協力をいただいたご両親方、全生徒に先生達、本当にありがとうございました。

4月14日、土曜日に開催されたスリアラ・インターナショナルスクールでのチャリティ、ファンドレイジングバザーが、去年に引き続き、ニューストレーツタイムズ (NewStraitsTimes) 新聞に取り上げられました。

新聞記事よりの概要：去年の4月に成功をおさめた、日本への津波基金の為のチャリティバザーで、自分達の力で、助けの必要な人達を援助する重要さ、その際の喜びを学んだスリアラの生徒たちは、今年も、資金調達バザーを行いました。

それぞれのゲームコーナー、食べ物コーナー、音楽コーナー、アートコーナーに洗車コーナーにと、それぞれのクラスで工夫をこらし、準備をしてきた生徒達に加え、それぞれの先生たちのコーナーに、去年に引き続き、日本人生徒達の家族からは、焼き鳥、寿司、おにぎり、やきそば、お好み焼きコーナーなどと、非常にバラエティ豊かなファンフェアーとなりました。

今回は、毎年末に行われるチャリティ活動先は、この基金を元に、それぞれのクラスに託され、年末までに決定されます。

STUDENTS of Sri Ara Private School had so much fun at last year's fund-raising food and fun-fair that they were keen to hold a similar event this year.  They were thrilled that the funds raised were channelled to the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief fund through the Malaysian Red Crescent Society to its counterpart in Japan.

The rewarding experience encouraged the students to hold another fundraiser this year but they were undecided as to which charity to support.

"I gave them a challenge to help us decide which charity the school should support," said school chairman Nooraini Mohd Yasin.

She said senior students were encouraged to take the lead in their teams to raise funds, do research on the charity of their choice and make a formal presentation complete with visuals, to the school board for its consideration and decision.

"The project involved teamwork, event-organising, research, reasoning and presentation skills," she added.

The students approached the project with gusto and came up with zany ideas for games stalls and ways to raise funds including a car wash, a music-machine and a little live band that accepted song requests
